Unboxing the Southern Cross-Island Highway. It just opened in January, with conditional access from Meishan to Tianchi. If the entire highway is open, will we no longer need to go all the way to Taitung to reach Jiaming Lake?
Every mountain area has its own special scenery. I love that the Southern Cross-Island Highway runs alongside the riverbed, offering a particularly expansive view. The good weather made the mountain ridges exceptionally clear. I also enjoy the numerous curves, watching everyone make cool turns from behind. This time, the terrain was hilly, with ups and downs, ups and downs. Everyone really needs to be careful on the downhill sections, I can't stress it enough‼️ Some slopes are unexpectedly steep, 7% or more. I surprisingly enjoyed this feeling. Besides getting the gear shifts and cadence right, I must say I genuinely felt the wheelset rode very well.
