Guys who enjoy cycling often encounter the following problems when dressing casually:
❌Upper body too thin, unable to achieve a defined look
❌Lower body too muscular, nothing seems to fit right
❌Creates an illusion of a large head and small body, whether in casual or formal wear
❌Mistaking everyday casual clothes for cycling jerseys, resulting in an awkward tight-fitting look
This time, our makeover subject is the cycling Youtuber "Crisp Gourd City Lord".
The City Lord has a typical cyclist's physique, and his usual style consists of conservative shirts and trousers. Therefore, we daringly attempted a completely different style for this makeover, using a retro hippie theme paired with a trendy burnt orange color that will be popular in the next two seasons.
First, we used an oversized thick T-shirt as a base layer, topped with a velvet half-zip jacket to address the problem of a too-slender upper body.
For the lower body, we paired 8-inch inseam shorts with Cidal "Sun Flip" socks, and cream-white retro sneakers. This makes even muscular thighs look more proportionate. Finally, aviator sunglasses and a camel-colored beanie completed the overall look.
We basically adhered to the two major principles of the golden ratio in styling: long on top, short on the bottom; dark on top, light on the bottom, making the overall proportion appear more elongated and creating a more layered look.
