2019 年，澳洲發生了近代最嚴重的森林大火。那一年，澳洲經歷長時間乾旱與破紀錄高溫，在極端氣候與強風影響下，火勢迅速蔓延至大片森林與荒野。根據當時統計，自2019年9月以來，森林大火燒毀超過 490 萬公頃土地，相當於台灣面積的 1.35 倍。濃煙覆蓋整片天空，數億隻野生動物死亡或失去棲地，無數家庭被迫撤離家園，大量袋鼠、無尾熊與野生動物，在這場災難中失去生命。這場野火，也讓全球開始重新關注地球暖化與極端氣候帶來的影響。那時候的 FLIPPOS，其實也才剛成立兩年，我們不是一個成熟的品牌，沒有太多資源，甚至連財務都還在艱難支撐。但從小在紐西蘭長大的創辦人 Johnny，對南半球這片土地始終有很深的情感。他每天看著新聞裡，被燒傷的無尾熊、逃離火場的袋鼠、被濃煙覆蓋的紅色天空，他始終無法只是旁觀。於是，在品牌還很渺小的時候，FLIPPOS 做了一個決定：將具有澳洲風格的「Wake Up a Dinosaur 袋鼠 翻轉襪」拿出來義賣，並將所得全額捐至澳洲野生動物救援機構。也是從那一年開始，Johnny 默默替 FLIPPOS 訂下一個目標：「每一年，都一定要做一件公益的事情，不一定要很大，也不一定要被看見。但希望 FLIPPOS 的存在，除了帶來快樂與創意之外，也能真正為這個世界留下些什麼。」後來 Johnny 才慢慢發現，這雙襪子的故事，其實也很像自己的人生。經歷過信任崩塌、被背叛與低潮之後，真正困難的，不是世界變得殘酷，而是在被傷害之後，你還願不願意繼續選擇善良。就像那些穿越火焰後，依然努力活著的生命一樣。 #翻轉襪設計這雙翻轉襪的靈感來自澳洲荒野與野生動物。襪子上的袋鼠、蜥蜴、鱷魚與笑翠鳥，象徵著澳洲土地上不同的生命樣貌，有些奔跑於荒野、有些潛伏在河流之中、有些則飛翔在森林與天空。土色與岩紋元素，則來自澳洲紅土地景與原始岩畫文化。當襪子翻轉後，藏著一隻無尾熊，像是在森林深處，努力躲過火焰後倖存下來的生命，也像是在混亂與傷痛之中，仍然被保留下來的溫柔。對 FLIPPOS 來說，翻轉的不只是襪子的長度，而是在經歷人生裡的低谷後，依然願意選擇善良。因為有些人經歷傷害後，選擇變得冷漠，但也有些人，即使穿越火焰，依然選擇保留心中的溫柔。
