Through a chance encounter, Mr. Renny Lin, Chairman of Taiwan Triathlon Company, and FLIPPOS founder Johnny Ku began talking about their shared dream of creating a world-class race in Taiwan. The design continues LAVA Sports’ volcano-and-lava concept, interpreted through a 1960s psychedelic poster aesthetic. Using abstraction and five representative colors, it expresses the essential elements of triathlon—blue sky, sunlight, swimming, cycling, running, and the finish arch. In the knitting process, 3D textured techniques are used to give each line greater energy, dimension, and visual impact.
When FLIPPOS Socks are flipped down, flowing psychedelic lines represent the eruption of volcanic lava—symbolizing the inner power of triathletes ready to be unleashed: Anything is Possible. On another level, it also reflects the sense of joy and exhilaration athletes often reach during the final run—the state known as the runner’s high.
The original idea of FLIPPOS hosiery is to create a pair of compression stocking fulfilling functions in every way. You could wear it to the office and exercise after work as well. Simply with ONE SAME pair of stocking.
