[Navajo Code Windtalkers MCP]
The Navajo (Navajo Indian) are the largest surviving indigenous group in North America, with the largest Indian reservation in the United States. The Navajo have their own unique language and culture, and because the Navajo language has a complex structure, it was used as a military code by the U.S. Army during World War II.
Especially in the 1945 battle to capture Iwo Jima in Japan, the U.S. military specially recruited Navajos to use the mysterious Navajo code to accurately transmit intelligence to the U.S. forces, becoming the greatest contributors to the U.S. military's capture of Iwo Jima. Hong Kong director John Woo also made this story into the Hollywood movie "Windtalkers."
The Navajo who participated in the war said: "We are proud to have fought for our country in our native language during World War II."
After India gained independence from British colonial rule in 1947, the caste system was officially abolished by law, making discrimination based on caste illegal. However, in reality, the influence of the caste system can still be seen in daily life. Nevertheless, the Indian government, which has experienced multiple changes in political parties and has had two Dalit presidents, continues to strive for democracy and human rights equality to overturn the deeply ingrained caste system in the hearts of most Indians.

[The Dalit - Ganesha MCP]
The caste system is an ancient social hierarchy, with the Indian caste system culture being the most representative, and this culture is built upon the Hindu concept of reincarnation. The caste system comprises four major castes, which divide Indians into Brahmins (priests), Kshatriyas (warriors), Vaishyas (farmers and merchants), and Sudras (slaves or laborers) according to their social standing. There are significant differences in marriage, justice, social welfare, and status depending on the caste.

The Navajo people are the largest Native American tribe in North America today, and they have the largest Indian reservation in the United States. The Navajo have their own unique language and culture, and because of the complexity of the Navajo language, it was once used by the U.S. military as a code during World War II.

In particular, during the Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945, the U.S. military recruited Navajo code talkers to accurately deliver military intelligence using the mysterious Navajo code, making them one of the greatest contributors to the U.S. victory in Iwo Jima. Hong Kong director John Woo later adapted this story into the Hollywood film “Windtalkers.”

One of the Navajo veterans who took part in the war once said: “We used our native language to fight for our country during World War II, and we felt very proud.”

After India gained independence from British rule in 1947, the caste system was officially abolished by law, and discrimination based on caste became illegal. However, its influence can still be seen in daily life. Even so, after multiple democratic transitions of power and the election of two Dalit presidents, the Indian government continues to work toward democracy and equal human rights, in an effort to overturn the deeply rooted caste system in the minds of many Indians.

    [The Dalit – Ganesha]
The caste system is an ancient social hierarchy, and one of the most representative examples is India’s caste culture, which is built upon the Hindu concept of reincarnation.

The caste system includes four major castes, dividing people by social rank into Brahmins (priests), Kshatriyas (warriors), Vaisyas (farmers and merchants), and Sudras (laborers or servants). These divisions historically created major differences in marriage, justice, social welfare, and social status.

    #FLIPPOS Socks Design

    [Navajo Code]
This design continues the classic Native-inspired Mohicans FLIPPOS Socks, this time using turquoise as the main colorway, a sacred color in Native American culture. For the Navajo in particular, turquoise is believed to be the spirit of the blue sky and the sea, and a symbol of divine power. They wear turquoise ornaments to pray for wealth and longevity.

Unlike the original Mohicans design, the flipped-down section no longer features wings. Instead, it is replaced with an eagle motif symbolizing the U.S. military in World War II, expressing how minority communities can preserve their cultural traditions while living within mainstream society and still make meaningful contributions to the world.

    [The Dalit – Ganesha]
The inspiration comes from the traditional Indian body art Henna, or Mehendi, which refers to the henna plant. Originating in Egypt over 5,000 years ago, it spread to the Middle East and later to India, where it became a symbol of auspiciousness and blessing, as well as an essential element in traditional festivals and weddings. In earlier times, henna in India was often applied by people of lower caste to those of higher social rank. But over time, it has evolved into a craft that anyone can learn, regardless of age or profession.

The overall design is based on the visual impression of Ganesha, the god of wisdom. The elements include the traditional Mandala motif, which represents the center of all things and the universe as a whole. FLIPPOS believes that human conviction comes from thought, so we incorporated the Sahasrara, or crown chakra, symbolizing wisdom and enhanced thinking. Together with Ganesha’s Lotus seat, it conveys the idea that by maintaining a pure heart and living with gratitude, happiness will follow.

After flipping the socks down, the original lighter tones become the main focus, symbolizing henna being painted directly onto our skin and spiritually bringing us energy, joy, and good fortune.
