Celts MCP

From 2000 BCE, many European nations were inhabited by the Celts, among them the island of Great Britain. In the 1st century CE, the rising Roman Empire drove the Celts north and occupied the south of Britain. This lasted until the end of the 4th century CE, when the Celts sought to take advantage of weakening Roman power to regain their territory, while at this time Rome was brought down by Germani invaders from outside.
The well-known movies Knights of the Round Table and Braveheart tell stories of the entanglements between Celts and Germani over the centuries, up until the 16th century and afterwards when Wales, Scotland and Ireland successively signed acts of union with England, forming the state that survives today as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In Irish mythology, the three-leaf clover is seen by the Celts as a sacred symbol of endless vitality. The socks are covered by clovers of irregular shapes, with four different weaving methods used to represent the four nations that make up the United Kingdom. The colors are inspired by Celtic green and a mixture of black, red and yellow makes up the brown that represents the Germani. We had a high degree of difficulty in developing these socks, perhaps a bit like how different cultures can take thousands of years to find ways to live in harmony.
When the socks are flipped, contrasting colors are used to echo the main color scheme. The import is that while people groups may not necessarily identify with each other, mutual respect and tolerance is the key to the development of true human civilization.
