On the tracks of the 1970s, people searched for freedom through every stride and redefined what equality meant. Through vintage patterns and washed finishes, FLIPPOS captures the spirit of that era.

The 1970s marked one of the brightest chapters in marathon history. It was a time when the world emerged from the shadows of the post-war era and rediscovered the meaning of running. Marathons were no longer reserved only for elite competition, but became a sport embraced by everyday people.

Among the World Marathon Majors, Berlin, Chicago, and New York each helped ignite their own urban running culture during the 1970s. Every race came to symbolize freedom, resilience, and the breaking of human limits.

In 1972, the Boston Marathon officially opened its field to women for the first time. It marked not only a turning point in sports history, but also a broader cultural shift. The road became a symbol of equality, and every stride helped push the boundaries of its time.

FLIPPOS carefully selects premium Sensitive Fabrics® from Italy and applies an advanced washing process to performance fabric, creating a faded texture reminiscent of worn denim. Every inch develops its own distinctive sense of time and character, blurring the line between performance apparel and fashion.

Using high-definition printing technology, vintage-inspired patterns are recreated directly on the base fabric to create the visual effect of mixed-material patchwork while preserving the fabric’s technical advantages. Soft and smooth against the skin, the material offers excellent stretch that follows the body without restriction—bringing together elevated texture and high-performance comfort.

ENDLESS SHORTS faithfully reinterpret the 2.5” short-length silhouette of the 1970s, minimizing excess weight and restriction while running. Clean crossover lines across the front and back subtly elongate the legs, while the three-dimensional inner brief construction adds another layer of comfort and lightness. (The inner length is proportionally adjusted by size.) The graphic language takes inspiration from the FLIPPOS FLIP CIRCLE, playing with visual rhythm and form while using panel construction to give the symbol a new meaning.

An integrated sweatband inside the waistband helps wick away moisture and keeps the outer layer feeling drier.

A concealed inner phone pocket positions your device securely at the center back for close-to-body storage with minimal bounce while running.

Loops on both sides of the waistband provide additional carrying options, while a lightweight S-hook on the right side makes it easy to attach a soft flask or keys. Items can be secured between the inner and outer waistband layers to help reduce movement.

A rear zip pocket offers easy access to small essentials. Inside, two separate mini mesh compartments provide additional organization and keep items securely in place, helping reduce movement and noise even during high-intensity activity.

An ultra-light external care label helps minimize friction against the body and can be flipped inward and hidden when preferred.

The signature FLIPPOS orange reflective braided cord is specially developed for running, helping enhance visibility during nighttime activity.
