FLIPLIGHT PACKABLE JACKET (Women)

In the history of fashion, military wear has always held an important place. Some even say that military wear is the foundation and reference point of modern menswear. In street culture, military-inspired clothing has also become a way for young people to express their personal style.
After World War II, supplies were scarce, and military goods used during the war began entering the civilian market in large quantities. The famous youth subculture known as the Mods chose to wear M-65 and M-51 military parkas over their expensive suits while riding scooters, protecting their clothing from getting dirty. This style quickly sparked a trend and became one of the most iconic looks of the Mods.

The so-called M-65 and M-51 coats both evolved from the Parka. According to historical records, the Parka first appeared in 1625, made by Indigenous peoples in Canada using seal skin and reindeer hide to adapt to hunting activities in the harsh Arctic climate. Inspired by this concept, FLIPPOS Running reimagined the M-51 silhouette to create the FLIPLIGHT Packable Jacket, designed specifically for running. It preserves classic details such as the hooded design, extended back hem, and dual slanted side pockets. Among them, the extended back hem is an essential DNA of the M-51 coat. When soldiers were on the march, tightening the drawcord helped provide warmth and wind protection without compromising mobility in combat. The improved FLIPLIGHT Packable Jacket places the drawcords on both sides, paired with spring cord locks for easier use. Visually, the reflective safety details are presented through the FLIP Circle design, giving the jacket even more style. The original pocket on the left arm has also been evolved: once flipped, the entire jacket can be packed inside, perfectly embodying the spirit of FLIPPOS.

Reimagined from the classic M-51 military jacket, the left-arm pocket can be flipped to pack the jacket away perfectly.
