[Koru: The Way Home MCP]
Koru, in the Māori language, and the silver fern are unique to New Zealand. The silvery underside of the leaves can glow under moonlight. When Māori people hunted at night, they would fold back the silver fern leaves as a guide to find their way home. The silver fern is not only considered a sacred object by the Māori people but is also New Zealand's national flower and the emblem of the national rugby team, the All Blacks.

In 1998, a 23-year-old New Zealand university student, Reuben, went missing in Alishan, Taiwan. This mountain accident drew significant public attention. Reuben's father, Phil, flew to Taiwan alone to search for his son after he lost contact. Unable to speak the language, Phil encountered many obstacles in his search. Desperate, he even went to the Presidential Office with Reuben's photo, pleading for help. Although he didn't meet the president, his actions garnered the attention of the police, who formed a special task force to help locate Reuben. After seeing media reports, various sectors of society also offered their assistance. During the long search and rescue process, despite the language barrier, everyone offered Phil encouragement and even took care of him as if he were family, providing warmth and strength to the once-distraught father. Ultimately, Phil could not transform into a silver fern and bring his son Reuben back to his homeland, New Zealand. However, during this journey, he developed deep affection for the Taiwanese people. Taiwan became Phil's second home, and he found a sense of belonging. Where the heart is, there is home. In Phil's heart, he had already brought Reuben home.

[Celts MCP]
The Celts occupied many European countries, including Great Britain, from 2000 BCE. In the first century CE, the rising Roman Empire drove the Celts north, conquering the southern part of Great Britain. After the late fourth century, the Celts tried to reclaim their territory from the weakened Roman Empire, but their plans were disrupted by invading Germanic barbarians. Famous films such as "King Arthur" and "Braveheart" depict the centuries-long entanglement between the Celts and the Germani. After the sixteenth century, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland successively signed acts of union with England, forming what is now the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the UK.

In Māori, "Koru" refers to the silver fern, a species endemic to New Zealand. The silver underside of its fronds glows under moonlight. When Māori hunters hunted at night, they would fold over silver fern leaves to mark their path home. The silver fern is not only considered sacred by the Māori, but it is also New Zealand's national plant and the emblem of the national rugby team, the All Blacks.

    #ReversibleSockDesign

    [Koru: The Way Home MCP]
The Koru design uses the silver-white color of the silver fern's underside as its main hue, combined with the traditional Tā Moko pattern. It uses deep gray, light gray, and off-white to create a subtle three-dimensional effect. In fact, silver fern-related designs are almost ubiquitous in New Zealand and are often used in traditional Māori tattoo designs.
The fan-shaped pattern at the top of the Koru and the asymmetrical contrasting colors on both sides are designed to highlight the silver fern leaf tattoo design. After all, the sacred object, as described by the Māori, must be at the very top of all patterns to signify sanctity and respect.
When the sock is reversed, the swirling lines resemble how the Māori would fold over silver fern leaves at night, allowing them to glow and guide them home. While Phil's story of searching for his son did not have a perfect ending in reality, it held a greater meaning for Phil on another level, not only transforming his own life but also inspiring people worldwide.

    [Celts MCP]
In Irish legend, the Celts regarded the shamrock as a sacred object, symbolizing continuous vitality.
We irregularly incorporated and fused the shape of the shamrock throughout the sock, while using four different weaving methods to represent the four nations of the Commonwealth. The color inspiration comes from the Celtic green, while the brown representing the Germanic people is a mixture of black, red, and yellow.
The development of this product was extremely challenging, much like how different ethnic cultures required thousands of years of integration to find a way to coexist harmoniously.
When the sock is reversed, contrasting colors are used to echo the main color scheme. This signifies that while not every ethnic group may fully agree with each other, mutual respect and tolerance are fundamental for humanity to evolve into a truly civilized society.
