Abebe Bikila, an unknown runner from Ethiopia, without even shoes, stood barefoot at the starting line.
The race began, and he ran step by step over cobblestones, past curious stares, into a world that wasn't originally his. As the night deepened and the crowd thinned, he remained in the lead. Until the end, he emerged from the darkness, barefoot, and was the first to cross the finish line.
Abebe Bikila became the first black African to win an Olympic marathon gold medal. In that moment, it wasn't just the outcome of the race that was overturned, but the entire world's perception of "possibility."
We deliberately used a hand-stitched star darning stitch to create a distinct feature, symbolizing the moment the superstar suddenly fell.

During the hand tie-dyeing process, each piece of fabric is hand-tied, colored, and then unbound. The penetration, diffusion, and retention of the dyes cannot be fully controlled, meaning that the pattern of each finished product will be unique.
